The Angry Sea

Big sea, small girl.
Creeping shingle
People

As a kid, I always loved to watch the sea. The immense power of the ocean and big storms have always held a thrill for me. Sprog #2 seems to have inherited the same fascination and is seen here trying to photograph the Solent off HMS Dolphin from Old Portsmouth. Needless to say, seconds later she was drenched by the seventh wave - something I couldn't heartlessly stand by and photograph...honest.

Although this was not a severe storm by any means, the pounding of the waves had driven the shingle from the beach onto the promenade and the road beyond in places.

Look Dad!

People

I can't quite recall what Sprog #3 and her friend were up to here. However, during the long hot days of the summer we virtually lived in the garden, drinking iced tea, barbequing dinner most nights, eating at the garden table and then reading books until the light was too dim to see.
